Ritz-Carlton Residences Houston: A First Look at Luxury Living

Luxury Development John Cartee September 15, 2026

Earlier this month, Nicole and I had the privilege of spending an afternoon inside the private Ritz-Carlton Residences Houston showcase studio. It wasn't an open house or public sales event—it was a very special opportunity to meet with members of the sales team, giving us the opportunity to learn more about one of Houston's most anticipated luxury residential projects.

Out of respect for Marriott's policies, we'll only be discussing information that has been publicly released. But after experiencing the vision firsthand, we wanted to share why we believe this development is such a significant addition to Houston's luxury real estate landscape.

Rising from one of Houston's most recognizable addresses, The Ritz-Carlton Residences Houston will grace the Uptown skyline at 2120 Post Oak Boulevard, just moments from The Galleria and the city's premier shopping, dining, and cultural destinations. At 45 stories and approximately 605 feet tall, the tower is poised to become one of Houston's defining architectural landmarks—not simply because of its height, but because of the vision behind it.

That vision is the result of a remarkable collaboration between some of the industry's most respected names. Houston-based Ziegler Cooper Architects, internationally recognized Pickard Chilton, and Houston developer Deiso Moss have come together to create a residence that feels both timeless and distinctly Houston. One of the details that resonated most with Nicole and me was learning how the tower draws inspiration from the Art Deco architecture that shaped many of Houston's historic skyscrapers. Rather than recreating the past, the design thoughtfully reinterprets those classic proportions and elegant details for a new generation of luxury living.

The tower will be home to 112 private residences, each accessed through its own private elevator vestibule, offering an exceptional sense of privacy and arrival. Floor plans range from two to four bedrooms, with a limited collection of extraordinary penthouses crowning the upper levels. Residences are currently anticipated to begin around $3 million, with the most exclusive homes exceeding $30 million. Construction is expected to conclude in 2029, introducing a new chapter of branded luxury living to the heart of Houston.

Inside each residence, every detail has been thoughtfully considered to create a home that feels both timeless and effortlessly livable. Wide-plank oak flooring flows throughout the living spaces, while select residences feature elegant fireplaces with optional Montigo Prodigy stone surrounds that create a warm focal point for entertaining or quiet evenings at home. Expansive private loggias—pre-plumbed for outdoor kitchens and available with built-in grills—extend the living experience outdoors, and private elevator access offers a sense of arrival and privacy from the moment you step inside.

The kitchens reflect the same commitment to exceptional craftsmanship, pairing a full suite of Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Cove appliances with brushed French Gold fixtures by Kallista. Select residences are further enhanced with a striking La Cornue range, oven, and hood trimmed in brass, while thoughtfully designed service entrances in select floor plans provide an added level of convenience for both everyday living and formal entertaining.

The primary suite is designed as a true private retreat, anchored by spa-inspired bathrooms that showcase Calacatta marble flooring with intricate mosaic detailing and gold accents, oversized custom vanities with brushed French Gold hardware, fluted glass shower and water closet enclosures, a sculptural freestanding marble soaking tub, Kallista Central Park West fixtures with a rain shower, and Toto plumbing fixtures. Together, these finishes create an atmosphere that feels refined, serene, and unmistakably Ritz-Carlton.

Beyond the tower itself, the surrounding neighborhood is undergoing a remarkable transformation. Residents will enjoy a short stroll to Post Oak Central Park, an ambitious new public gathering space envisioned as the heart of Uptown. The district is expected to introduce an exceptional collection of dining and retail experiences, with celebrated restaurants such as The Henry, Élephante, and Bar Bambino among the first announced concepts. Together, these additions are helping shape a vibrant, walkable destination that reflects Houston's continued evolution as one of the nation's premier luxury cities.

Complementing the private residences, the building's lower levels will also be home to Houston's first Ritz-Carlton Hotel, featuring 156 guest rooms with its own dedicated entrance and guest amenities. While thoughtfully separate from the residential experience, homeowners will have the opportunity to enjoy many of the hotel's renowned à la carte services—including offerings such as in-residence dining and evening turndown service—bringing the signature hospitality of The Ritz-Carlton directly to their front door.

As Houston continues to strengthen its position on the global stage, developments like The Ritz-Carlton Residences represent more than a remarkable new address—they reflect the city's growing stature and international appeal. With a lifestyle centered around exceptional service, thoughtfully curated wellness, refined design, and the effortless convenience of concierge living, this project introduces a new standard for branded luxury residences in Houston. It is not simply another residential tower; it marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in the city's luxury real estate story.

Nicole and I left the showcase studio with one overwhelming impression: every aspect of this project has been thoughtfully considered. While luxury finishes and exceptional amenities certainly matter, what impressed us most was the intentionality behind the lifestyle being created. The Ritz-Carlton Residences Houston isn't simply another luxury tower—it reflects a broader shift in how many affluent buyers want to live today. For some, that's a lock-and-leave residence with world-class service. For others, it's the convenience of exceptional amenities without the responsibilities that often accompany a large estate.

As realtors and real estate advisors, our role isn't to tell clients what to buy. It is our role to assist them in determining whether a particular property truly fits their lifestyle and long-term goals. We look forward to following this project as more public information becomes available and sharing thoughtful updates along the way.
